Matt Anderson is a senior policy fellow with Federalism In Action and a policy analyst with the Coalition for Self-Government in the West.
The Coalition for Self-Government in the West (CSGW) is a project of Sutherland Institute, a public policy think tank in Salt Lake City advocating conservative principles. The CSGW’s mission is to protect freedom and opportunity around the West by promoting federalism and equipping state leaders – both public and private – to reclaim their powers and responsibilities under the United States Constitution.
Matt has been featured in local and national media, including NPR, C-SPAN and a number of regional publications. He has produced a number of papers in his field and most recently presented research on urban deer herd management policy at the Midwest Political Science Association’s annual conference.
Matt is an active member of his community, serving as a local volunteer to active participation with a number of conservation organizations. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Arts in political science with an emphasis in natural resource and public lands policy. He holds Bachelor’s degree in political science from Utah State University.
Matt is a sixth-generation Utahan, born and raised in Bountiful, where his ancestors settled in the mid-1800s.
